Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry in Waco, Texas. This role involves providing direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols, while implementing and monitoring patient care plans. The RN serves as a primary coordinator of multidisciplinary efforts to ensure well-coordinated patient care, assessing patient conditions, and prioritizing discharge planning needs.
Job Details:
- Location: Waco, Texas
- Position Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
- Unit Description: 30 bed Surgical/Gastrointestinal/Oncology unit with dedicated nurses and Epic charting system.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; Graduation from an accredited nursing program; 1 year of nursing experience; Work location in Waco, Texas.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical units and telemetry nursing is a plus.
