**Unit Information:**
- **Location:** 3 West
- **Number of Beds:** 22
- **Total Staff:** 30
- **Staffing Levels:**
- **Day Shift:** 1 Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 2 PCAs, 1 Unit Secretary, 0-2 Sitters
- **Night Shift:** 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 1-2 PCAs, 0-2 Sitters
- **Patient Ratios:** Maximum of 6:1
- **Type of Equipment:** Standard medical equipment
- **EMR System:** Meditech
**Typical Hiring Profile:**
- **Essential Skills Required:**
- Acute med/surg experience (2+ years within the last year)
- Proven ability to care for 4-6 patients simultaneously
- **Preferred Skills:**
- 2+ years of ortho nursing experience
- **Typical Procedures Performed:**
- Care for med/surg ortho patients
- Standard nursing skills (IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, communication with care team, documentation in EHR)
- **Ideal Personality Fit:**
- Friendly, positive, patient-centered, team-focused
**Certifications Required:**
- Registered Nurse (RN)
