# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Telemetry – Texas
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 weekend shifts per schedule, 13-week contract
Highlights:- 30-bed neurology medical/surgical telemetry unit with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- No call required – scheduled shifts only
- Collaborative team environment with experienced staff including CNCs, RNs, LVNs, and PCTs on each shift

- Meditech EMR system

Requirements:- Current Texas RN license or ability to obtain
- BLS certification required
- NIH stroke scale certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and neuro medical/surgical patient populations
- Proficiency in typical procedures including stroke assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care
