Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Oncology to join our team. This position involves working in a dynamic unit focused on providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing medical and surgical treatments, including chemotherapy.

Unit Information

• Location: Metropolitan area
• Unit Type: Oncology
• Number of Beds: 12
• Staffing per Shift: 2-3 RNs and 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 or 1:6
• Type of Equipment: Various medical and surgical equipment
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:

• Required Skills:
  • Oncology experience
  • Medical-Surgical experience
• Preferred Skills:
  • Additional medical surgical experience

Typical Procedures Performed

The unit specializes in a variety of medical and surgical procedures, including:

• Medical/Surgical treatments
• Chemotherapy administration
