The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver.
The RN assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
The RN provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process and nursing trends.
The RN ensures safety through reporting and correcting safety hazards and incidents.
The RN communicates with others directly when necessary to resolve issues.
The RN offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers.
The RN identifies their own learning needs and takes initiative to address them.
The RN fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.
