Floating to other units may be required based on skill set and needs. Weekend coverage is expected every other weekend, subject to change based on demand. The medication system used is Omnicell. The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients. Daily census is typically between 15-20 patients. The facility has a total of 30 beds. Key skills include managing ports, blood product administration, and IV management. Experience is also needed in orthopedic trauma and telemetry. Nurses will be responsible for peripheral and central line care, as well as feeding tube management. Travelers must complete modules and pre-assignment requirements prior to contract start. The organization requires staff to float to other units when necessary, based on competency levels. Documentation of competencies is essential for floating assignments. This position does not accept first-time travelers.
