Job Title: Travel RN - Orthopedic Surgery Profession: RN Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care Med/Surg/Ortho hospital experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and Chemo Certification preferred Must-Have: - Candidates must have current acute care experience. - BLS certification is mandatory. Description: This position is for a Travel RN specializing in Orthopedic Surgery. The unit is focused on orthopedic and spine care. The hospital has a capacity of 345 beds and holds a 3-time Magnet Designation. The staff includes a float pool of approximately 80 professionals. Day shift RNs and CNAs are typically assigned to most units, while night shift RNs and CNAs cover the majority of others. Patient ratios are 1:5 during both day and night shifts, although these may vary between units. Various types of equipment will be used, and the electronic medical record system in place is Meditech. Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role. Typical procedures performed on this unit include joint replacements and fracture repairs as well as the treatment of spinal injuries. A flexible attitude and willingness to float to different units is essential. Teamwork and compassion are key attributes for success in this environment.
