Description:
We are seeking a traveling Registered Nurse for the orthopedic surgery unit.
The unit has a total of 18 beds and employs about 50 staff members.
Patient ratios are 4:1 for spine patients and 5:1 for orthopedic patients.
The team consists of charge nurses, registered nurses, and patient care technicians.
Typical equipment used includes telemetry, epidurals, PCAs, ice machines, and Sara Steady.
The EMR system in use is Meditech.
Typical procedures performed in the unit include central line care, blood transfusions, and catheterization.
