Description:
This position is a travel RN role in the orthopedic surgery specialty.
The nursing unit features 30 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 7:1.
The unit is staffed with 1 unit secretary and 3 patient care techs.
Available equipment includes lift equipment, bladder scanners, ultrasound IV machines, and mobile vital sign carts.
Documentation is managed through a Meditech system.
The travel RN may be required to work rotating weekends.
Travelers typically float first, although this does not happen often.
Unit leadership actively tracks patient experience metrics.
The dress code for this position is navy scrubs.
The orthopedic surgery unit is known for its experienced staff and engaged leadership.
It features all private rooms and allows for self-scheduling prior to the schedule posting.
This unit moved to a brand new floor in 2020.
The facility is fully accredited and recognized for excellence in various medical specialties.
