TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg / Neuro RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend required. Floating to similar Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units as needed.

Highlights:

  • Primary neuroscience unit specializing in stroke care, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injuries, subdural hematomas, and other neurological diagnoses
  • Patient ratio of 1:6 with a daily census of approximately 50 patients
  • Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
  • Contract lengths available: 13–26 weeks
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and more
  • 36-hour orientation program with unit-specific training provided

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of direct Medical/Surgical experience (required)
  • Must have at least 2 successfully completed travel assignments (first-time travelers will not be accepted)
  • Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
  • Required Certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Preferred Certification: ACLS
  • Strong IV start skills and telemetry experience required
  • Demonstrated competency in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Experience with neurological patient populations including stroke, seizure disorders, and intracranial bleeds
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
