Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical-Surgical Neuro – North Carolina

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week; 12-16 weekend shifts per contract; floating required within facility

Highlights:

  • Medical-Surgical Neuro unit specializing in neurosurgical procedures and neurological diagnoses
  • Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for optimal care delivery
  • Contract length flexible: 13-26 weeks accepted
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Two orientation shifts on unit following hospital-based orientation
  • Blocked scheduling may be accommodated based on individual request

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
  • BCLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI preferred
  • Epic charting experience strongly preferred
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Neurosurgical or neurological nursing experience preferred
  • Skills in telemetry, IV management, CVA care, and non-invasive airway management
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Willingness to work during catastrophic events as part of Storm Team/Hurricane Team assignment
