Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical-Surgical Neuro – North Carolina

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week; 12-16 weekend shifts per contract; floating required within facility
Highlights:
- Medical-Surgical Neuro unit specializing in neurosurgical procedures and neurological diagnoses
- Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for optimal care delivery
- Contract length flexible: 13-26 weeks accepted
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Two orientation shifts on unit following hospital-based orientation
- Blocked scheduling may be accommodated based on individual request
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
- BCLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI preferred
- Epic charting experience strongly preferred
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Neurosurgical or neurological nursing experience preferred
- Skills in telemetry, IV management, CVA care, and non-invasive airway management
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Willingness to work during catastrophic events as part of Storm Team/Hurricane Team assignment
