# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro Medical/Surgical – Tennessee**Start Date:** August 10, 2026 **Location:** Nashville, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Three 12-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule; 6:1 patient ratio**Highlights:**- 20-bed Neuro Medical/Surgical unit with tech support on day and night shifts, plus unit secretary coverage from 7a-7p- Comprehensive facility certifications including Verified Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Certified Chest Pain Center- Meditech electronic medical record system for streamlined documentation- Modern equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology- Strong emphasis on patient-centered care with bedside shift reports and family involvement in care planning- Navy scrubs provided as standard uniform**Requirements:**- Active RN license in Tennessee- Current BLS certification- Med/Surg nursing experience required- Proficiency in prioritization, multitasking, IV insertion, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes- Ability to provide compassionate, attentive care and effectively communicate with patients and family members**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This neuro medical/surgical position offers the chance to work in a highly certified acute care environment while making meaningful connections with patients and their families.
