Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule; 6:1 patient ratio on a 20-bed unit
Highlights:
- Med/Surg Neurology unit in a Comprehensive Stroke Center and ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center
- Tech support available on day and night shifts; unit secretary coverage 7a-7p
- Meditech documentation system with advanced equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, continuous pulse ox, feeding pumps, PCA, and bladder scanners
- Emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care with bedside shift reporting
- Contract labor floats first in rotation
- Opportunity to work in a Certified Chest Pain Center with structured staffing support
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Tennessee or multistate compact)
- Current BLS certification
- Med/Surg experience required
- Competency in IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
- Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities
