Job Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications safely and monitor patients' conditions.
- Educate patients and families about health promotion and disease management.
- Coordinate care with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and New York State regulations.
- Support new employees and nursing students while participating in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform charge nurse or shift coordinator duties when assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 6 months to 3 years of RN experience.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Active New York State RN license.
- Current BLS certification from AHA, HSI, or the American Red Cross.
- Strong communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous clinical experience in an acute-care hospital or ambulatory setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- CCRN certification.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC, depending on the assigned unit.
