Job Summary
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse position providing care in an acute-care setting for medical-surgical and surgical oncology patients. The position collaborates with interprofessional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise and age-appropriate standards.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Active North Dakota or compact-state Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA); at least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience; experience in a large hospital and a Level II or higher trauma center; travel nursing experience unless multiple years of experience have been completed in a large Level I trauma setting; experience with Epic electronic medical records.
- Preferred Qualifications: Surgical oncology nursing experience.
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday.
- Additional Information: The position provides care for medical-surgical and surgical oncology patients and collaborates with physicians and other interprofessional colleagues. Clinical equipment and systems include Epic electronic medical records, automated medication-dispensing technology, bladder scanners, cardiac monitors, and telemetry. Orientation includes one day of lead-center training and two 12-hour shifts with a preceptor.
