Job Details

  • Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical
  • Facility: UnityPoint – Iowa Lutheran Hospital
  • Location: Des Moines, IA

  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night shift
  • Schedule: 4×12-hour shifts per week
  • Hours: 48 hours/week (36-hour option available)
  • Weekly Gross Pay: $3,078 for 48 hours/week

Requirements

  • Minimum 24 months of Medical-Surgical RN experience in a hospital or medical center
  • Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license
  • BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • Experience with PCA and heparin is required
  • EPIC EMR experience is required
  • Post-operative surgical experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with hip/knee patients, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries is highly preferred
  • First-time travelers are welcome

Documents Required

  • Updated resume showing at least 24 months of current Med Surg experience
  • Med Surg-specific skills checklist
  • Active Iowa or compact RN license documentation
  • Driver's license
  • BLS certification
