Job Requirements

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of house supervisor or transfer center RN experience required
• Experience with intake, bed control, transfers, and bed placement strongly preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong crisis management, organizational, communication, and escalation skills
• Background in inpatient acute care, emergency department, ICU, pediatrics, NICU, PICU, surgical services, or MS/Tele is beneficial
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare coordination role
• 2 professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day
• Must be able to commit to scheduling expectations and submit all time-off requests up front
• At least 1 year of experience is required if not otherwise specified

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and bed placement to support efficient patient throughput
• Serve as a central resource for intake, bed control, and transfer center operations
• Collaborate closely with house supervisors and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support staffing and placement needs
• Use sound clinical judgment to prioritize placements and support facility flow during busy periods
• Communicate effectively with clinical teams regarding transfer status, bed availability, and patient placement updates
• Apply organizational escalation processes to help manage capacity and diversion needs
• Support operational coordination across a broad patient population, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Maintain accuracy, professionalism, and efficiency in a no-patient-contact environment
