Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame. Care is provided using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. The RN ensures patient safety, effective communication, and professional development while working collaboratively with critical care teams and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN degree
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN degree

Additional Information:

• Monitors EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity
• Ensures effective communication with patients and families through hourly rounding, bedside shift reports, and whiteboards
• Fulfills departmental competencies and modifies care plans based on continuous evaluation
