Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
  • Traveler experience is not required.
  • Local candidates are accepted.

Certifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification preferred.

Job Details:

  • Ratios: 1:5-6
  • Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week. Overtime is billed only after 48 hours.
  • Contract Length: 13-26 weeks accepted.
  • Blocked Scheduling: May be accommodated depending on the request; please inquire during the submission process.
  • Time Off (RTO): A maximum of 7 days; no RTO allowed.
  • Float Requirement: Yes, float to other units as needed.
  • Weekend Requirement: 12-16 weekend shifts per contract; flexibility available, discuss with the traveler.
  • Emergency Response: Contract staff will be assigned to work on Storm and Hurricane Teams and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters. Mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office may occur as needed.

Patient Population: Care for patients undergoing neuro-surgical procedures and with neuro diagnoses.

Unit Systems: Proficient use of Pyxis, SBAR, and EPIC systems is required.

Scheduling: Managed by unit leadership.

Orientation: Two orientation shifts on the unit following hospital-based orientation.

Dress Code: Navy scrubs required.

Additional Notes:

  • EKG testing must be passed prior to start for this specialty.
  • Neuro experience is preferred.
