Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor RN (Location unspecified) This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a short-term acute care setting. The role requires a proactive approach to patient management, clinical proficiency in a variety of procedures, and adherence to hospital protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Active license in the relevant state (MO or IL), at least 1 year of hospital experience, and certifications in BCLS, ACLS, along with a minimum of 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Managing patient care for adults and geriatrics, including procedures such as blood draws, insertion and management of IV lines, wound care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Must pass Relias EKG exam. EPIC charting system experience is required, with knowledge of managing acute conditions like renal failure, pneumonia, and COPD exacerbations.
- Certifications and Skills: BCLS, ACLS, ability to interpret dysrhythmias, proficiency with critical care procedures, and familiarity with EPIC system.
- Additional Information: Must pass Relias EKG exam and management of various complex clinical conditions. Willingness to float within scope is required as needed to meet facility needs.
