Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370–$2,500
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; start and end times may vary based on patient census
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Approximately every fifth weekend and holiday rotation
• On-Call: Approximately 2–3 times per month
• Patient Visits: Approximately 4.5 visits per day, with an average daily travel range of 25–60 miles
• Service Area: Primarily Wausau, with limited potential coverage in Medford, Antigo, or Wisconsin Rapids
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Home Health RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a valid compact-state license
• At least 2 years of recent home health nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Associate degree or nursing certificate required
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• OASIS certification preferred
• Experience with OASIS documentation and Epic Remote Client or Remote Care preferred
• Strong communication, organization, time-management, and clinical documentation skills
• Compassionate, dependable, adaptable, and accountable approach to patient care

Home Health Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing assessments, treatments, and interventions for patients receiving care at home
• Complete OASIS admissions, required time-point assessments, and episode management
• Coordinate home health care with physicians, caregivers, interdisciplinary team members, and community resources
• Manage provider calls, follow-up needs, and changes in patient condition
• Deliver clinically proficient care involving wound care, IV therapy, port access, laboratory draws, and chronic disease management
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic medical record
• Plan daily travel efficiently while maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care
• Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations as scheduled
• Remain flexible and resilient when patient census, territory needs, or schedules change
