Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Cardiac

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg Cardiac unit. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care, engaging in assessments, documentation, and medication administration in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications and complete nursing tasks in a timely manner.
• Engage in effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Provide care for patients with cardiac conditions, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and tracking patient information.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while collaborating with other departments as needed.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Medical Surgical (Med Surg)
• Bed Size: 32 beds
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4-5:1 on day shift, 5-6:1 on night shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds).
• Must possess an active RN license (North Dakota or Compact). Must be willing to obtain licensure if not currently held.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• NIHSS certification or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
• Experience with Epic EMR system is preferred.
• Cardiac experience is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
• Flexibility to float to all units and locations as needed.

Shift Requirements

• 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend and holiday committed.
• Travelers will undergo a rotating schedule that may vary between day and night shifts based on unit needs.
• Self-scheduling available; however, days off are not guaranteed outside of contractual agreements.

Additional Information

• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Uniform Color: Navy Blue scrubs.
