Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Join a dedicated and compassionate nursing team in a close-knit environment, providing exceptional care to patients in a telemetry unit. This 19-bed unit specializes in managing complex medical conditions, including renal failure, hypertension, diabetes, and various cancers. Our team also cares for kidney transplant recipients and living donors, providing outpatient infusion treatments as needed.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate comprehensive patient care, including assessment, education, triage, and various nursing interventions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, to implement and evaluate effective care plans.
Provide empathetic care throughout all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
Demonstrate advanced nursing competencies and expertise in all nursing practices.

Required Skills and Experience

Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in South Dakota.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical or telemetry setting.

Licensure and Certifications

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Dress Code

Navy blue scrubs are required for all staff working in the unit.

Unit Information

The surgical renal unit is part of a larger critical care framework that includes specialized units for pulmonary, trauma, surgical, and neurocritical conditions. Staff are supported by in-house intensivist services and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver goal-directed care.
