Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our medical-surgical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including pediatrics and geriatrics. This position requires a commitment to excellence in nursing practice and a dedication to patient-centered care.

Schedule

• 12-hour Night Shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate, implement, and revise individual care plans based on patient responses to treatment.
• Coordinate and supervise patient care, ensuring effective communication and quality service.
• Organize and prioritize nursing tasks to meet patient needs efficiently.
• Utilize patient assessment data to identify care needs, including education and discharge planning.
• Recognize and report abnormal assessment data, integrating findings into the care plan and adjusting as necessary.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly, including assessments, teaching, progress, and medication administration.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to healthcare team members while maintaining accountability for patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or compact state.
• Proven ability to assess patient needs and develop effective care plans.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in a medical-surgical environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, particularly EPIC, is a plus.

Patient Care Details

• Total number of beds: 19
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5 (possible 1:7 on nights)

Orientation and Training

A non-billable orientation of 8 hours will be provided to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Dress Code

Scrubs of any color are acceptable for the nursing staff.
