Job Summary:

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN provides care using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation, ensuring patient and employee safety, effective communication, and professional development.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
• Illinois state RN License in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Additional Information:

• Maintain patient safety as the highest priority, including compliance with safety measures such as fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, isolation precautions, and patient ambulation safety.
• Provide patient medications following the 5 Rights: Right Patient, Right Medication, Right Route, Right Dose, and Right Time.
• Effectively manage time to facilitate quick admission/discharge processes for observation status patients.
• Communicate effectively within the healthcare team to ensure interdisciplinary collaboration and patient safety.
