Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame. Care is provided using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. The RN ensures accurate documentation, develops and implements care plans, modifies them based on continuous evaluation, and prioritizes patient and employee safety. Collaboration with colleagues and proactive communication are essential to expand knowledge and resolve issues.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN degree
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:
• BSN degree

Additional Information:
• Provide direct care to CVMS patients, including post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
• Maintain hospital and unit-based competencies
• Perform hourly rounding on patients
• Ensure a clean and tidy work environment
• Proactively assist internal and external customers
