Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking skilled Registered Nurses to join our team in a medical surgical setting with opportunities for block scheduling. This role involves caring for patients with a variety of conditions, including those in overflow telemetry. Nurses will be expected to administer and monitor cardiac drips as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical surgical unit.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:7, ensuring individualized attention.
• Administer cardiac drips including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone as needed.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to create optimal care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.

Schedule

Shifts available are 4x12 hours from 07:00 to 19:00. Block scheduling may be accommodated to fit personal needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with drips, particularly cardiac medications, is essential.
• Candidates must be proficient in managing drips such as cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone.

Additional Information

• This position does not accept local candidates within a 75-mile radius.
• Pending licenses are accepted.
• Previous permanent staff are not eligible for travel positions for a period of 10 years.
• Scrubs must be navy blue.
