Job Summary

Medical-Surgical Floor Registered Nurse position responsible for planning and providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role includes patient education, coordination of ancillary personnel, and maintenance of professional nursing standards in a full-time night-shift setting.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
  • Schedule: Full-time nights consisting of 12-hour shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities: Plan and provide total patient care using the nursing process; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs; direct and guide patient teaching; coordinate activities of ancillary personnel; and maintain professional nursing standards.
