Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking experienced nurses to join our Float Pool team for the Night Shift (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). The successful candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and must be able to float to various in-patient units, including Medical, Surgical/Pediatrics, Orthopedics/Neuroscience, and Sub-Acute Units. This position will require working every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

  • Current Wisconsin Nursing License
  • Education verification
  • NIHSS certification
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice acts.
  • Document patient care according to established standards.
  • Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and hospital policies, including patient and family education.
  • Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patients' longitudinal care plans.
  • Employ critical thinking to ensure patient safety and an optimal patient experience, escalating issues to the appropriate chain of command when necessary.
