Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2340
$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - MedSurg
Job Details:
• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Low census hours eligible in hour increments, typically in 4-hour increments, up to 36 hours unbillable
• Post Surgical Care Unit providing pre and post-surgical care for adults and geriatric patients on a 40-bed inpatient unit
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on day/PM shifts, 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week
• Average patient length of stay is 2-3 days (except joints)
• Must have ability to multitask and prioritize patient care based on acuity while working as part of a team
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Equipment used includes Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs accepted

This facility is a high-acuity hospital featuring a fast-paced Post Surgical Care Unit that provides comprehensive care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients. With a 40-bed inpatient unit operating at 90-95% occupancy during the week and Trauma Level II designation, the facility demands experienced nursing professionals who can manage high patient volumes and complex post-surgical care needs.
