Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position available in a healthcare organization located in the region. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care within an adult acute care medical-surgical unit, supporting diverse medical conditions and surgical procedures. The position offers night shift scheduling with a focus on delivering high-quality, individualized care to patients in a dynamic clinical setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support); Education requirements include a valid nursing license and relevant clinical experience; Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical environment, experience with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system, and must have Level 1 Trauma Experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a fast-paced adult acute care unit, familiarity with trauma care protocols, and prior exposure to diverse surgical patient populations.
- Additional Information: The unit is a 30-bed adult acute care medical-surgical setting serving patients with conditions such as diabetes, wound management needs, electrolyte imbalances, respiratory issues, tracheotomies, facial reconstruction procedures, and other related conditions. The environment emphasizes patient-centered and team-based care to ensure optimal outcomes. The position start date is 10/05/2026, with an end date of 01/04/2027, and no travel or float requirements are expected for this assignment.
