RN Med-Surg Travel

Position: Registered Nurse (Med-Surg)
Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract with strong potential for extension
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Employment Type: Full-time contract

Schedule & Hours

• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required

Pay Package

• Total Travel Package:$2,326/week
• Taxable Wages: $1,246/week
• Housing Allowance: $770/week
• Meals & Incidentals Allowance: $476/week
• Travel package eligibility requires the clinician to reside 50+ miles from the assignment location

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg, Post-Op, or Stepdown experience
• Surgical/Post-Op surgical experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience preferred (at least one completed travel contract)
• Comfortable managing 5-7 patients
• Active Illinois and Iowa RN licenses or a compact license (ability to obtain additional state license during onboarding)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must qualify as a traveler (50+ miles from assignment)

Additional Details

• Possible floating to other nearby facilities as needed, with travel reimbursement provided
• Client interview required
• Very limited to no RTO (Requested Time Off) preferred
• Candidate must not have been employed by the health system within the last 12 months

• EMR experience should be included on the resume
