Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic inpatient team. The ideal candidate will have strong Med/Surg experience along with a solid Telemetry background and the ability to read telemetry rhythms.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients
- Monitor and interpret Telemetry rhythms
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify changes in status
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
- Provide safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
- Float within the facility based on clinical competency and patient-care needs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Must be comfortable reading Telemetry
- NIH certification required
- EPIC experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Schedule & Weekend Requirements
- Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- Every Other Holiday (EOH)
- Flexibility required based on department and patient-care needs
Floating Requirements
- May be required to float onsite within the RN's established skill set
- May also be required to float to other affiliated sites within a 40-mile radius, depending on operational needs
Professional Requirements
- No artificial or acrylic nails permitted
- Nails must be kept short, less than 1/4 inch
- Must maintain all facility infection-control and professional standards
