Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Sioux City. The position supports an interdisciplinary team in providing and managing care for patients requiring medical-surgical services. The assignment involves caring for patients with orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical needs.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of medical-surgical and/or oncology experience
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; American Heart Association (AHA) preferred, with American Red Cross or United States military certificates also accepted
- Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; American Heart Association (AHA) preferred, with American Red Cross or United States military certificates also accepted
- Active National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, which may be obtained during onboarding
- Iowa state licensure
- Drivers license
- Preferred Qualifications: High-acuity care experience and prior travel experience
- Schedule: Day shifts are 12 hours, scheduled for 36 hours per week, with every third weekend required.
- Additional Information: Provides care for patients undergoing orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical procedures. Required clinical experience includes administration of heparin, patient-controlled analgesia, and epidural medications. Chemotherapy administration may be included when appropriately certified. Navy blue scrubs are required. Two of three designated winter holidays may be required.
