Job Summary:
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN provides care using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include performing unit-specific duties, implementing procedures and theories, maintaining accurate documentation, conducting initial assessments, developing and modifying care plans, ensuring patient and employee safety, and collaborating with colleagues for professional development. The RN monitors EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity, ensures effective communication with patients and families, and works with critical care teams and hospitalists for advanced care patients.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN
- Illinois state RN License in good standing
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN

Additional Information:
- The RN is expected to fulfill all departmental competencies and take initiative in identifying and addressing learning needs.
