Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
  • Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
  • Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and/or treatments; accurately document care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
  • Conduct holistic ongoing patient assessments and evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes
  • Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information in a timely manner
  • Float as needed between Med/Surg and Rehab units, and may serve in a sitter role as required; must be comfortable floating in rotation across campus locations

Required Qualifications

  • Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license required
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Must practice consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and applicable unit standards
  • Ability to delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with all members of the healthcare team

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience in a Medical/Surgical inpatient setting
  • Familiarity with rehabilitation nursing or experience floating across multiple units
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based nursing procedures and current clinical workflows
