Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is available for a facility located in the area. This role involves providing general nursing care primarily for geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes. The assignment is for a 13-week contract starting from October 19, 2026, with a scheduled shift of 12 hours during night hours.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current Michigan RN license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical (MS) nursing; associate degree or certificate required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Emergency Department (ED) preferred; ICU experience not required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Float: Float to Emergency Department within competency required.
  • Additional Information: Candidates with both Medical Surgical and Emergency Department experience are highly preferred. Travelers who can work across multiple departments are ideal; however, Medical Surgical-only candidates will be fully considered. Scrub colors are flexible. The unit has 25 beds with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 on night shift.
  • On Call/Call Back: May be low censused and assigned on-call duties; minimum call back is 2 hours.
  • Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday.
