Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – MedSurg Float Pool to support multiple inpatient units throughout the hospital.
The RN will float across a variety of medical-surgical and specialty areas based on hospital staffing needs. Candidates should have strong general medical-surgical knowledge and be comfortable adapting to different patient populations, workflows and nurse-to-patient ratios.
2 years of Medical-Surgical experience is preferred, although strong candidates with less than 2 years of MS experience may be considered.
The MedSurg Float Pool may support:
Chemotherapy administration is not required.
Travel RNs will receive education during onboarding regarding which patient assignments they may and may not accept. Certain specialized assignments may be reserved for Asante core staff.
Candidates do not need experience in every unit within the float pool; however, broader MedSurg experience is highly preferred.

Medical-Surgical patients may use:
BiPAP use on the MedSurg units is uncommon.
Important: Asante does not accommodate scheduling requests for travelers.
Travel RNs call the Staffing Office at the beginning of each shift to receive their unit assignment.
Assignments may vary from shift to shift based on hospital needs.
If the RN is not needed due to staffing levels, the traveler may be placed on standby.
A traveler on standby may be called in at any time during the scheduled shift if staffing needs change.
2 × 12-hour shifts of department/unit-specific orientation.
Additionally, the first work week includes 12 hours of non-billable orientation.
Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation.
Asante does not accept local candidates and maintains a 50-mile radius restriction.
The facility may call off or cancel up to 24 hours during the 13-week assignment.
Non-Oregon licensed RNs may be eligible for a 90-day temporary Oregon license if their permanent Oregon license is not posted before the assignment start date.
