Medical Surgical Floor (MS) in a healthcare facility located in a designated area. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care on a medical surgical unit, with a focus on acute telemetry. The role requires adherence to established standards, protocols, and policies, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Provides patient care based on standards of care, practices, protocols, and policies. Respects patient dignity, offers patient and family education, collaborates on discharge planning, delegates interventions appropriately, prioritizes patient needs, documents accurately, and promotes team learning. Ensures safety by proactively identifying risks, reports incidents, and addresses ethical issues while administering medications and managing IV therapy as ordered.
- Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License, graduate of an accredited school of nursing, ACLS certification upon hire, acute telemetry experience, and at least 1 year of medical-surgical experience preferred.
- Schedule: Night shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsible for patient assessment, interpreting cardiac data, managing life-threatening situations, participating in multidisciplinary rounds, and educating patients and families using current standards and protocols. Operates and troubleshoots clinical equipment related to surgical care.
