Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• Prior acute care hospital experience preferred
• BLS certification preferred upon hire and required prior to direct patient care if not already held
• ACLS accepted in lieu of BLS
• Med/Surg certification or related specialty certifications preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Complete and document patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with standards of practice
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families based on their learning needs and treatment plans
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Support quality improvement initiatives and promote patient safety
• Maintain professionalism, protect privacy, and provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients
