Job Requirements

• 1+ year of recent Med/Surg RN experience in an acute care setting
• Active Kansas Registered Nurse license in hand
• Current BLS certification
• Previous step-down experience preferred
• New graduates are not eligible for this role
• Ability to work nights and adapt to unit-based scheduling needs

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to medical/surgical patients in an acute care environment
• Assess patient conditions, monitor progress, and respond quickly to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and clinical standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document care accurately and maintain thorough patient records
• Assist with unit coverage needs, including floating when required
• Support weekend and holiday coverage to ensure consistent patient care delivery
