Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
- Location: Great Bend, Kansas

- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Two weekends per month
- Holiday Requirement: As needed according to rotation
- On-Call Requirement: One shift per month
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license or compact RN license
- At least 1 year of recent hospital-based medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills
- Experience with continuous medication infusions, including heparin, insulin, amiodarone, and Cardizem, is preferred
- Ability to float within the RN's scope of practice as needed
Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients throughout the care continuum
- Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized nursing plans of care, and evaluate outcomes
- Safely administer medications, including titratable and continuous infusions as appropriate
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly communicate significant findings to the interdisciplinary care team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing colleagues, patients, and families to support positive patient outcomes
- Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, medication administration, and patient progress
- Participate in weekend, holiday, and scheduled on-call coverage
- Float to other patient-care areas within the RN's training and scope of practice when needed
