Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• At least 6 months of acute care hospital experience preferred
• BLS required or obtainable prior to direct patient care
• ACLS preferred and may be accepted in lieu of BLS
• Medical-surgical nursing or oncology experience preferred
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Must be willing to travel; local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop nursing care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments according to standards of practice and hospital policy
• Coordinate care with physicians, case management, and interdisciplinary team members to support discharge planning
• Educate patients and families while advocating for patient safety, comfort, and quality of care
• Document care accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong workflow on a fast-paced med-surg unit
• Support quality improvement efforts and uphold high standards of clinical excellence
