Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position located in the area. This role involves directing and coordinating patient care teams to deliver individualized, high-quality patient care in accordance with applicable standards. The RN will collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, patients, and families to develop comprehensive care plans, utilizing professional nursing skills and the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across different age groups.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 6 months of hire. Demonstrated assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently.

  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The RN shall promote teamwork with medical staff and hospital personnel regarding the unit. The role requires adherence to hospital policies on confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
