- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Hours per Week: 36
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 - $1,970
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; holidays as scheduled
- Floating: Required within the specialty and to lower-acuity areas and sister facilities as needed
- Charting System: Epic preferred
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or compact license at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Strong ortho/joint experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted with strong relevant experience
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- CPI preferred
- NIHSS preferred
- Comfortable working night shifts in an acute care hospital environment
- Must be comfortable floating within scope
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and support recovery for orthopedic and joint replacement patients
- Perform routine assessments, interventions, and documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote safe, effective patient care
- Support patients with therapies and treatments such as wound care, IV management, oxygen therapy, and mobility assistance as needed
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when necessary
- Float within specialty and related lower-acuity areas while maintaining quality care standards
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented night shift environment
