Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor RN Night Shift Located at the organizations healthcare facility, this position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in the medical-surgical specialty. This role requires delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing services in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Position Description: This role assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history, physical, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and care team members. Responsible for forming and revising care plans based on assessment data and patient needs. Implements care through direct patient interaction, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team members. Communicates effectively with all levels of staff, patients, families, and external contacts. Documents nursing activities clearly and timely per policy. Participates in research, quality improvement, and educational activities within the clinical setting. May supervise staff and work flow within the department.
- Certifications/Education Requirements: Must possess a valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on practice area.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting, within the past 12 months, as a Registered Nurse in the medical-surgical specialty.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree preferred. Professional certification preferred.
