Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: 12-hour Nights (0700–1900 or 1900–0700 structure as assigned), 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: Travel contract
- Target Start Date: August 27, 2026
Facility & Unit Overview
- Unit Specifics: 30 private beds (average census 20); patient-to-nurse ratios typically 1:4–6; nurse aides generally available (2–3 per shift).
- Patient Population: Dementia, post-surgical, falls, influenza, pneumonia, failure to thrive, cancer patients, and COVID. Experience with chest tubes (preferred), pain management, TPN, CBI, and wounds.
- Floating Requirements: Can float to PCU to take Med-Surg overflow or very low-acuity PCU patients.
- Scheduling & Policies: Block scheduling accommodated where possible; weekend requirement is generally every 3rd weekend (flexibility requested); holiday requirement is every 3rd holiday (expect one winter holiday). No self-scheduling.
- Radius Rule: Strict 50-mile radius rule for all travelers.
- Dress Code: Any solid color scrubs (no patterns or designs).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license.
- Certifications: Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
- Skills: Chest tube experience preferred; charge nurse experience is a plus.
