Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse (Location: unspecified) This position involves providing patient care within a medical-surgical unit, assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care in accordance with organizational standards and professional nursing practice. The role requires accountability for the quality of nursing services delivered and utilizes specialized knowledge and judgment to support patients' physical and developmental needs.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired. Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months. Employees working at specific facilities may require additional state-specific fingerprint clearance cards.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsible for assessing patient needs, formulating and implementing care plans, evaluating patient responses, and documenting all aspects of care in compliance with policies and standards. Participates in professional development activities, promotes excellent patient outcomes, and may supervise staff and workflow.
