Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. This position entails providing high-quality patient care to inpatient oncology patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer nursing care to patients in the 6N Medical Unit.
  • Monitor and record patient health status and vital signs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Support and educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatments.
  • Float within scope to meet facility needs while maintaining a manageable patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5-6.

Schedule

This role requires a commitment to work three 12-hour shifts per week during the day (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend shifts are required every other week. Please note that block scheduling is not available for this position.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • First-time applicants are welcome.
  • Local candidates residing outside a 50-mile radius will not be accepted.
  • Pending licenses will not be accepted.
  • Requests for time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Facility Information

This is a short-term acute care facility with 232 staffed beds. The unit utilizes Paragon for charting, and parking is provided at no cost. Scrub color is royal blue.
