Job Details:
- Position Description: Responsible for delivering care to patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI. The unit operates with a 1:6/7 nurse-to-patient ratio, with up to 1:7 ratios, and utilizes a charge nurse system.
- Required Qualifications: Licensed registered nurse with active license, BLS (AHA), NIHSS certification, minimum 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting, familiarity with EPIC charting system, and the ability to work night shifts on a 12-hour schedule averaging at least 36 hours per week.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, with weekends and holidays scheduled as needed.
- Additional Information: The unit has a nurse aide staff, utilizes telemonitoring watched remotely by monitor techs, and may require floatation based on census needs. Scrub color is navy blue. The unit is not equipped with ventilators, but uses BIPAP intermittently. There are no standby or call requirements, and the policy mandates submission of a copy of the candidates unexpired drivers license at the time of application.
